Gurugram Clears 50 Kilometres, Shifts to Footpath Encroachments

Gurugram officials removed things that were blocking roads and walking areas.

They cleared 49.5 kilometres of road space this week.

Earlier actions mostly focused on large main roads.

This time, officials focused on footpaths, cycle tracks and pedestrian paths.

Shops and structures had taken over some of these public spaces.

Teams used large machines to remove sheds, ramps and scrap shops.

The work happened on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The authority had earlier told the Supreme Court it would remove illegal encroachments within two weeks.
