Marriott Q2 Earnings Rise, RevPAR Outlook Raised for 2026
Marriott International, a big hotel company, made more money in the second quarter of 2025 than people expected.
The price people pay for rooms went up a little, especially in the U.S. and Canada.
In other parts of the world, the price went down a bit because of problems in the Middle East.
Marriott added almost 18,000 new rooms and plans to build many more.
They also raised their forecast for next year’s room prices and made new credit‑card deals with JPMorgan Chase and American Express.
Marriott International posted Q2 earnings above expectations, with RevPAR up 3.4% YoY.
U.S. and Canada RevPAR rose 5% driven by higher room rates; international RevPAR fell 0.5% due to Middle East conflict.
Net room growth reached 4.5%, adding ~17,900 rooms and expanding a pipeline of 4,200 properties.
Adjusted EBITDA grew 13% YoY to $1.592 billion, while operating income and net income remained flat.
Marriott lifted its 2026 RevPAR forecast to 3–3.5% and announced new credit‑card partnerships with JPMorgan Chase and American Express.
