Apple Plans OLED Displays for MacBook Air, iPad Mini, and iPad Air
Apple is thinking about putting a new type of screen, called OLED, in some of its popular devices like the iPad Mini, iPad Air, and MacBook Air.
These screens are better because they can show much brighter colors and darker darks.
The iPad Mini might get this new screen as soon as next year.
The iPad Air will get it later, and the MacBook Air might not get it until 2028.
These new screens might make the devices a little more expensive.
This is happening because Apple wants to give people a reason to buy new gadgets, as sales have not been as high as they were during the pandemic.
Apple has already used OLED screens in other products like Apple Watches, iPhones, and the iPad Pro.
Apple is testing OLED screens for future versions of MacBook Air, iPad Mini, and iPad Air.
OLED technology offers richer colors and deeper contrasts compared to current LCD displays.
The iPad Mini is expected to be the first to receive the OLED upgrade, possibly as early as next year.
These upgrades are anticipated to increase prices, with the iPad Mini potentially costing up to $100 more.
The MacBook Pro will be the first Mac to feature an OLED screen in its next redesign, while the MacBook Air is slated for a later upgrade.
