Eye Donation Awareness Lecture Held in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar
Doctors are explaining how important it is to donate eyes so that people who can't see because of problems with their corneas, the clear part of the eye, can see again.
Eye donation lets doctors replace the damaged parts with healthy ones from someone who has passed away.
A lecture was held to encourage people to consider donating their eyes after they die.
Everyone can register with an eye bank, and surgeries can happen up to six hours after someone passes away.
Dr. Archana Patil Vare spoke about the importance of eye donation during Eye Donation Fortnight.
The lecture took place at the District Collector Office in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
The event aimed to raise awareness about eye donation for corneal transplants.
District Collector Dilip Swami presided over the event.
Street plays were also presented to promote eye donation.
