Proposed Huri-Taksing Road Adds Strategic Frontier Route
India is planning a new road in a remote part of Arunachal Pradesh.
The road would connect Huri and Taksing.
Taksing is close to the India-China border.
The proposed road would be about 95 kilometers long.
It would create another way to reach Taksing.
This could help the Army move vehicles, fuel and supplies more easily.
The current road from Nacho to Taksing is narrow and difficult to use.
The project may also improve access for people living in the area.
The Border Roads Organisation proposed a 95.348-km Huri-Taksing road in Arunachal Pradesh.
The greenfield alignment would connect Huri in Kurung Kumey with Taksing in Upper Subansiri.
The road is being planned under Project Arunank to NHDL specifications.
Taksing lies near the India-China border, and its existing Nacho approach is narrow and in poor condition.
The additional route could improve Army movement, supply access and support in the frontier area.
