Parsva Ekadashi 2026 Date, Muhurat And Significance Explained

Parsva Ekadashi is a special Hindu fasting day for Lord Vishnu.

In 2026, it will be observed on September 22.

It happens on the 11th lunar day during the bright half of the month of Bhadrapada.

The name Parsva means “side.”

People believe Lord Vishnu turns from one side to the other while resting on Ananta Shesha.

This is why the day is also called Parivartini or Parivartani Ekadashi.

It is linked with Lord Vamana, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

In the story, Vamana asks King Mahabali for three paces of land and uses them to cover the universe.

Devotees break their fast on September 23 during the stated Parana period.
