Madhya Pradesh Seeks Approval for Dedicated 1930 Cybercrime Call Centre

Madhya Pradesh Seeks Approval for Dedicated 1930 Cybercrime Call Centre

The government wants Madhya Pradesh to have its own team for answering cybercrime calls made to 1930.

The state police have proposed building the team’s call centre in Bhopal.

It would have 180 seats and work all day and night.

The plan would cost ₹50 crore, but the state government has not approved it yet.

Right now, complaints go through the national helpline before reaching state and local police.

Officials say that takes time.

A faster response could help banks stop stolen money from being moved.

Police can also help victims seek the return of money that banks have frozen.
