53rd New Delhi World Book Fair Begins
The 53rd New Delhi World Book Fair is starting today at Bharat Mandapam.
This year, the fair is free for everyone to enter.
The main theme is about the brave history of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force.
There will be over 1,000 publishers from many countries, and lots of fun activities like book launches, poetry readings, and cultural shows.
The Publications Division will showcase its popular journals and a diverse array of books in English, Hindi, and other Indian languages.
There's even a special area just for kids with storytelling and crafts.
The fair will also honour the Indian military with exhibits and talks about their important work.
It's a big celebration of books and the brave people who protect our country.
The 53rd New Delhi World Book Fair begins on January 10, 2024, at Bharat Mandapam with the theme 'Indian Military History: Valour and Wisdom @75'.
The fair offers free entry for all visitors for the first time in its history.
Over 1,000 publishers from more than 35 countries will participate, with 600 literary activities and nearly 1,000 speakers.
The theme pavilion will feature 500+ books, exhibits, and installations honouring the Indian armed forces, including replicas of the Arjun Tank, INS Vikrant, and LCA Tejas.
The Publications Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, will showcase its popular journals like Yojana, Kurukshetra, Aajkal, and Bal Bharti, along with a diverse range of books.
