India Negotiating Trade Pacts with US, EU, and Others
India is talking to many countries about making trade easier.
The Commerce Minister said India is currently discussing new trade deals with big places like the United States and the European Union, as well as countries like New Zealand, Oman, Chile, and Peru.
This is part of a plan to make it simpler for goods and services to move between countries.
India already has similar deals with the UAE and Australia.
The minister also mentioned that the government has made it easier to do business by getting rid of many old rules and laws.
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh even offered land to build a big convention center, showing a desire for more global connections.
India is currently negotiating free trade agreements with the US, European Union, New Zealand, Oman, Peru, and Chile.
Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal stated that India has already implemented FTAs with the UAE, Australia, and the EFTA.
The government has removed 42,000 compliances and abolished 1,500 laws to promote ease of doing business.
Lowering global trade barriers is seen as crucial for the free flow of goods, services, and capital.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu offered land for a world-class convention center.
