Seven Andhra Fishermen Traced Safe Near West Bengal Coast

Seven fishermen from Andhra Pradesh went fishing on August 3.

Their families could talk to them for only about an hour after they left.

Then the boat stopped communicating and did not return when expected.

Search teams looked for them in the sea and from the air.

They studied wind, waves, and currents to guess where the boat might have drifted.

The boat was found near Shankarpur in West Bengal.

The fishermen said the engine had broken and could not be repaired.

They were brought safely to shore, although one report said they were sent to a hospital, and officials began arranging their return home.
