Adani Airports Plans $10 Billion Expansion Ahead of Aircraft Surge

Adani Airports wants to build more airport space before many new airplanes arrive.

It plans to spend about $10 billion over the next five years.

Indian airlines have ordered about 1,680 airplanes.

These airplanes will need places to land, park and carry passengers.

Navi Mumbai International Airport is expected to receive a large capacity increase in its next phase.

Adani also plans work at airports in Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Trivandrum.

The company currently handles about 100 million passengers and wants capacity for about 500 million within ten years.

Its chief executive says building early can help prevent crowded airports and poor passenger experiences.
