CDS Empowered to Issue Orders to Armed Forces
The head of the defense forces, called the CDS, can now give orders to all three military branches (Army, Navy, and Air Force) at the same time.
Previously, each branch got their own instructions separately.
This new system, approved by the Defence Minister, helps the branches work better together.
It's a big step towards making the military more modern and efficient.
They also want all forces to work together in the same area to protect the country.
Defence Minister authorized CDS Gen Anil Chauhan to issue joint orders.
This changes the previous system of separate service instructions.
The move aims to enhance synergy among the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
The first joint order was released on Tuesday.
The initiative supports the modernization of the armed forces.
