NEET PG Delay Wastes MBBS Students' Year
The NEET PG exams, which are for medical students who want to study further, have been delayed for a long time.
Before 2021, these exams were usually in January, but now they are happening much later, in May or August.
This delay means that students have to wait a long time to start their postgraduate studies.
The counselling process, which is like a selection process for the courses, also happens late, in November or December.
This makes the whole year feel wasted for the students because they have to wait so long to move forward in their studies.
The delay started during the Covid period and hasn't been fixed yet.
The people in charge say it's the central government's responsibility, but the students are the ones who are suffering.
NEET PG exams were traditionally held in January but have been delayed to May or August since 2021.
The delay affects the entire academic session, with counselling extending to November or December.
Students experience a significant waste of time, as the PG academic session doesn't start until March or April.
The delay began during the Covid period and has not been rectified.
Medical education authorities blame the central government for the ongoing delays.
