Munich Airport Resumes Flights After Drone Disruptions
Imagine toy airplanes are flying around a real airport!
Sometimes, people see drones (toy airplanes) near the runways.
This happened at the Munich airport.
Because of this, the airport had to close down the runways, which means no planes could take off or land.
Lots of flights were delayed, and some were even canceled.
About 6,500 people were stuck at the airport, but the airport provided camp beds, snacks, and drinks.
The airport has begun to reopen, but there will be delays.
The government is also working on making it easier to take down these drones if they get too close.
Munich Airport closed runways due to drone sightings.
Flights were disrupted for the second time in less than 24 hours.
23 flights were diverted, and 48 departures were canceled or postponed.
Approximately 6,500 passengers were affected.
Airport is gradually resuming flights, with delays expected.
