Trump Buys Netflix and Warner Bros Bonds

Trump Buys Netflix and Warner Bros Bonds

President Donald Trump bought some special loans called bonds from Netflix and Warner Bros Discovery.

This happened just after Netflix and Warner Bros Discovery made a big deal together.

Trump bought these bonds on December 12 and December 16.

The amounts were between $250,001 and $500,000 each time.

Other companies he bought bonds from include SiriusXM, General Motors, Boeing, Macy’s, Occidental Petroleum, and Whirlpool.

A spokesperson said that Trump and his family did not make the decision to buy these bonds; it was done by financial experts.

Trump might also be involved in checking if the Netflix and Warner Bros Discovery deal follows the rules.

The bonds from Netflix will be paid back in 2029, and the ones from Warner Bros Discovery in 2030.

Netflix's boss, Ted Sarandos, met with Trump to talk about the deal.

Another company, Paramount, is trying to stop the deal and says it's not as good as theirs.
