Himachal Pradesh Schools Split Summer Break Due to Heat
Imagine it's super hot outside, like the sun is trying to give you a hug!
The schools in Una, Himachal Pradesh, decided to change their summer break to keep kids safe.
Instead of one long break, they'll have two.
The first break is during all of June.
Schools will then reopen in July, but after a month of classes, there will be a shorter break in August.
This way, kids won't have to go to school when it's super hot, especially when the temperatures can reach 44-45 degrees Celsius.
The education department is doing this because teachers and parents asked them to.
Summer vacations in Una district will be divided into two terms.
Schools will be closed from June 1 to 30 due to the heatwave.
Schools will reopen on July 1.
A short break will occur from August 3 to 12.
The decision was made to offer relief to students during the summer season.
