Nagpur to Auction 123 Old Diesel Buses This Week
The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is selling off 123 old diesel buses because they cause a lot of pollution.
These buses were bought in 2010 and are now too old.
The city is replacing them with cleaner electric buses to help the environment.
A special team checked the buses and the sale will happen online this week.
Companies can bid for the buses, which will be sold for parts.
The goal is to get rid of old vehicles and make the air cleaner.
NMC is auctioning 123 diesel buses older than 15 years.
The buses were purchased in 2010 under the JNNURM scheme.
Auction aims to reduce pollution and promote safer transport.
Auction will be conducted online through Maharashtra Scrap Trading Corporation.
NMC operates 537 buses, including electric, diesel, midi and mini buses.
