UK Unveils Tougher Sanctions and Trade Curbs on Iran

The UK has announced new rules to put more pressure on Iran.

These rules are called sanctions.

They will make it harder for Iran to use the British financial system.

They will also ban trade involving more goods, technology and services.

Iranian aircraft generally will not be allowed to land in Britain.

Some exemptions may apply.

The UK says the measures are intended to limit Iran's nuclear programme.

The government also says they target other activities it considers hostile.
