RPF Rescues 10 Minors in Northeast Frontier Railway Under 'Meri Saheli' Initiative
The railway police, called RPF, have a special program called 'Meri Saheli' to help keep women and children safe when they travel.
Last week, they did a great job and rescued 10 children who were all by themselves or trying to run away.
They found 7 boys and 3 girls at different train stations.
The police made sure the children were safe and then gave them to special people from Child Line, their parents, or the local police to help them.
This shows the RPF is working hard to protect everyone on the trains, especially the youngest travelers.
RPF rescued 10 minors (7 boys, 3 girls) across Northeast Frontier Railway between October 25 and 30.
The rescues were part of the 'Meri Saheli' initiative focused on passenger safety, particularly women and children.
Rescued children were handed over to Child Line authorities, NGOs, parents, or local police for rehabilitation.
Specific rescue operations took place at stations including Dimapur, Chaparmukh, Agartala, Kishanganj, and Alipurduar junction.
The RPF is committed to passenger safety through patrolling and friendly measures, with a focus on protecting women and children.
