Man Files Legal Action Over Pet Dog's Disappearance
A man named Sunilkumar Singh is very upset because his pet dog, Jadiben, went missing.
He thinks that people from the Surat city government took his dog by mistake.
He saw them on a video catching his dog with a net and taking it away.
The next day, he went to the city office to ask about his dog, and they said their workers made a mistake.
Now, he wants the police to help find out what happened to his dog.
He loves his dog very much and is sad because he doesn't know if it is alive or dead.
Sunilkumar Singh filed a legal application with the Icchapore Police demanding action against the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) for the disappearance of his pet dog.
Singh alleges that on December 29, 2025, an SMC dog-catcher team caught his Pomeranian dog without informing him or his family.
CCTV footage shows two youths using a net to catch the dog and take it away in an SMC vehicle.
SMC officials admitted that lower-level contractual staff mistakenly caught the pet, but the dog's current status is unknown.
The Icchapore Police have started an investigation to determine what happened to the pet dog.
