Heavy rain fell across much of Odisha on Monday.

The rain was caused by a low-pressure weather system.

Joda received the most rain, measuring 169.4 millimetres.

Weather officials warned that 16 districts could receive heavy rain.

Six districts received an orange warning, meaning people should be ready to act.

Ten other districts received a yellow warning, meaning people should stay alert.

Schools and anganwadi centres were closed in some areas.

The government sent 67 rescue and emergency teams to watch the situation and help people if flooding occurs.
