Worli School for Visually-Challenged Celebrates 100 Years of Education
Imagine a special school in Mumbai that helps children who can't see learn and grow for a whole century!
This school, called Happy Home School for the Blind, started 100 years ago with just a few kids.
Now, it has about 200 students.
They learn regular school subjects, but also super cool things like music, carpentry, pottery, and even how to use computers.
The school has a gym and a library, too, all made to be easy for blind children to use.
Some students who went there now teach at the school, like a music teacher who used to be a student himself.
The school wants to make sure every child can become independent and confident, no matter what challenges they face.
They are having a big party soon to celebrate all the good work they've done over the last 100 years.
The Happy Home School for the Blind in Worli, Mumbai, is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
Founded in 1925 with five orphans, the school now serves around 200 visually-challenged students.
The institution offers mainstream education alongside vocational workshops in carpentry, pottery, and textiles.
Special facilities include a library, computer lab, and gymnasium tailored for the visually impaired.
The school aims to foster independence and confidence in its students, enabling them to build successful lives.
