Rajasthan Exceeds Tree Planting Goal, Planting Over 10 Crore Saplings
Rajasthan has achieved its goal of planting lots of trees!
The government aimed to plant 10 crore trees this year, and they actually planted over 10.21 crore.
This was part of a project called 'Hariyalo Rajasthan', inspired by the Prime Minister.
The project, launched last year, aims to plant 50 crore trees.
Different government departments helped, with the Education and Rural Development departments contributing significantly.
They're even tracking the trees to make sure they stay healthy.
Rajasthan met its 2025 target of planting 10 crore saplings.
The 'Hariyalo Rajasthan' campaign was inspired by PM Modi's 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam'.
Over 10.21 crore saplings were planted across 274,920 sites.
The campaign aims to plant 50 crore saplings over five years.
