13-Year-Old Surat Boy Survives Iron Rod Piercing Shoulder, Mouth

A 13-year-old boy named Nazish had a very serious accident in Surat.

He was playing with friends at a mosque after classes ended.

He tried to jump to a nearby building that was still being built.

He lost his balance and fell onto an exposed metal rod.

The rod went through his shoulder and came out through his mouth.

People nearby cut the rod and took him to the hospital.

Doctors helped him breathe and carefully removed the rod during surgery.

They said no major blood vessels were damaged.

Nazish is recovering in the intensive care unit and may later move to a regular ward.
