Hili Land Port Exports Resume After Six-Day Deadlock

Hili Land Port Exports Resume After Six-Day Deadlock

Truck traffic between India and Bangladesh stopped at the Hili border for six days.

Exporters stopped sending trucks after authorities took action against overloaded vehicles.

The exporters said the action reduced their profits.

Suvendu Adhikari asked officials to help restart trade.

Officials and exporters then met on Friday.

After the meeting, trucks began moving again on Saturday.

About 124 trucks went into Bangladesh that day, and trucks also came into India.

The exporters said trade was running smoothly but wanted more steps to increase business through Hili.
