India Post Targets 30% Revenue Growth
The Department of Posts in India wants to make a lot more money this year.
They plan to earn ₹17,546 crore, which is 30% more than last year.
Most of their services are growing, except for sending letters within India and to other countries, especially the US, where there are some problems.
The minister says they want to stop being a cost to the government and start making a profit soon.
They are doing well with savings accounts, insurance, and delivering packages, and they hope to meet their big goal by the end of the year.
Department of Posts aims for ₹17,546 crore revenue in FY26, a 30% increase from FY25.
Four out of six verticals show revenue growth; mail and international mail services remain static.
Post Office Savings Bank revenue grew by 7% to ₹5,426 crore.
PLI and rural PLI revenues increased by 11% to ₹1,030 crore.
Parcels revenue grew by 12% to ₹485 crore, and citizen-centric services revenue doubled to ₹641 crore.
