Ocasio-Cortez doesn't rule out 2028 presidential or Senate run
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who people often call AOC, is a famous politician from New York.
She told a news channel that she has not decided against becoming President of the United States one day.
She said anything is possible, but right now her main job is helping her party win the elections in November.
People who make predictions think she has a good chance of being her party's candidate in 2028.
She was born in the Bronx, a neighborhood in New York City, and went to Boston University.
Before she was a politician, she helped young people get ready for college.
In 2018, she surprised everyone by beating an experienced politician named Joe Crowley.
In 2019, she became the youngest woman and youngest Latina ever to serve in Congress.
Now many people are wondering whether she will try to become President or a Senator in 2028.
Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) said Sunday she has not ruled out a 2028 run for the US presidency or a New York Senate seat.
She told ABC News she is 'focused on winning the midterms' and 'running for Congress right now.'
She said 'anything is possible' regarding a Senate bid when Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is up for re-election in 2028.
On prediction market Kalshi, she ranks among the top contenders for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2028.
Ocasio-Cortez rose to national prominence in 2018 by defeating 10-term incumbent Joe Crowley and became the youngest woman and youngest Latina ever sworn into Congress in 2019.
