PM Modi Criticizes Congress on Partition, National Unity, and 'Vande Mataram'
Prime Minister Modi spoke on India's National Unity Day, remembering a leader named Sardar Patel who helped unite many small kingdoms into India.
Modi said Patel was very strong in keeping India together.
He also said that the Congress party, which used to be in charge, did things that hurt India's unity.
Modi explained that Congress copied bad ideas from the British, like dividing people, and even changed a patriotic song called 'Vande Mataram' in a way he thinks was divisive.
He said Congress treated people and groups who disagreed with them badly, calling it 'political untouchability.'
Modi contrasted this with his own government, saying they honor all leaders, build memorials for them, and have fought against problems like terrorism and Naxalism.
He believes his government is following Patel's path of unity.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's legacy of national integration on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.
Modi accused the Congress party of inheriting a 'mindset of slavery' from the British and 'sowing the seeds' of partition.
He criticized Congress for 'political untouchability,' claiming they treated those with different ideologies as 'untouchable.'
Modi stated that Congress's actions in Kashmir led to its division and partial occupation by Pakistan.
The Prime Minister asserted that his government has ended 'political untouchability' and made significant progress in combating Naxalism.

Congress Party's Implied Stance (Historical Actions and Justifications)
The Congress party might contend that its focus was on establishing a secular and socialist framework, and that its criticisms of certain individuals or organizations were based on ideological differences regarding nation-building and governance, not mere personal or familial loyalty.
