GHMC Trains Interns in Sanitation Drive
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is having young people help keep the city clean!
They have a special program called "Swachh TULIP" where interns learn about managing trash.
These interns visited places where trash is processed, like special plants.
They also helped teach people about separating their trash and not using plastic bags.
In the end, GHMC thanked them for their hard work and hopes to keep young people involved in keeping Hyderabad clean.
GHMC launched the Swachh TULIP internship program under SBM-U 2.0.
Eight interns were selected through the AICTE portal for solid waste management training.
Interns visited waste management facilities for practical insights.
They contributed to IEC campaigns on source segregation and plastic ban.
A felicitation ceremony acknowledged the interns' efforts at GHMC head office.
