Bombay HC Quashes Corrigendum on RG Land Share Dispute

Bombay HC Quashes Corrigendum on RG Land Share Dispute

The Bombay High Court recently made an important decision about a dispute between two housing societies in Mumbai.

The societies, Shree Rasraj Heights and Devendra CHSL, were arguing over how much of a shared recreational area (RG land) each should get during a building redevelopment.

The court said that a lower authority had wrongly tried to settle this dispute by changing a document called a deemed conveyance certificate.

The court explained that this kind of dispute needs proper legal judgment and can't be decided by just correcting a document.

The court canceled the change made to the document but said Devendra CHSL can still challenge the original document to get a fair decision about their share of the RG land.
