SNL's Weekend Update Tackles SNAP Cuts, Prince Andrew, and George Santos
On Saturday Night Live's 'Weekend Update,' comedian Michael Che made jokes about some big news stories.
He talked about how the government stopped giving food money, called SNAP, to families because of a government shutdown.
Che joked that the government now gives needy families food through the 'Second Amendment,' which is about guns, and the show even showed a picture of a gun.
He also made a joke about Prince Andrew, who lost his royal titles because of a scandal, saying he can only get them back if a young princess kisses him.
Another funny part was when Bowen Yang dressed up as George Santos, a politician who lied a lot.
In the skit, Santos claimed he robbed the Louvre museum and also won the World Series.
Finally, Ashley Padilla and Andrew Dismukes acted out a scene where they were two people who just hooked up, using the government shutdown and the arguments between Republicans and Democrats as a way to talk about their new relationship in a funny, indirect way.
