Andhra Pradesh Expands Logistics and Aviation Infrastructure
The Andhra Pradesh government is making big improvements to its transportation and trade systems.
They created a new group called AP-LInC to manage roads, ports, and other important infrastructure.
This will help industries like pharmaceuticals and food processing.
They are also building a new airport in Nellore district, which will be the eighth airport in the state.
The airport is near important roads, ports, and industrial areas, making it easier to move goods and people.
The government is spending a lot of money to improve roads and other facilities.
The goal is to make Andhra Pradesh a major hub for trade and investment on the east coast of India, creating more jobs and opportunities.
Andhra Pradesh government approved AP-LInC to manage logistics infrastructure, including ports, highways, and airports.
Rs 18,485 crore allocated for road links to ports and Rs 4,500 crore for state highways, with 23 road projects and 15,000 km of roads to be upgraded.
Government aims to increase logistics sector's contribution to the state economy from 1% to 3%.
