Father Stabs Daughter Over Marriage Money Dispute
A man named Nagendra went to his daughter’s college in Bengaluru.
He wanted to meet her and asked for a big amount of money from her future husband’s family.
When his daughter and her mother said no, he got angry.
He stabbed her many times inside the college.
She was hurt badly and is now getting medical care.
The police arrested him and are looking into what happened.
Nagendra stabbed his daughter, assistant professor Lakshmi Durga, inside her college in Bengaluru on July 25.
The attack followed a family dispute over a Rs 40 lakh demand from a prospective groom and claims that the daughter’s salary should be paid to the father.
Nagendra, a cab driver, was arrested after police registered a case and investigated the incident.
Lakshmi Durga sustained serious injuries to abdomen, chest, and neck and is undergoing treatment.
The incident occurred around 3:00 pm when Nagendra entered the Head of Department’s chamber to meet his daughter.
