Rekha Gupta Orders Faster Execution of Delayed Government Projects
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta reviewed several government projects that are moving too slowly.
She told the departments responsible for them to finish their work faster.
One project involves building homes for judicial officers in Dwarka.
Another involves setting up charging facilities for electric buses.
The judicial officers’ housing project is expected to cost about Rs 171.58 crore.
It was approved in April 2025, but construction work has not yet been awarded.
Gupta also asked officials to find land in Narela for a new jail complex.
This could allow Tihar Jail to be moved in stages.
