Other Desert Cities Sells Out Broadway Preview Week

Other Desert Cities began preview performances on Broadway and sold every seat for all seven shows that week.

It earned nearly $1.9 million, more than all but Hamilton.

Its average ticket cost was higher than that of any other show reported.

Across Broadway, 28 shows earned about $27.7 million during the week ending October 4.

That was more than the week before, but less than during the same week last year.

Attendance also rose compared with the previous week, but was lower than last year.

Two other productions, 860 and The Imaginary Invalid, joined the weekly Broadway roster.

Overall, the report shows a busy week, while season-to-date revenue and attendance remained below last year’s levels.
