Infosys Dismisses 195 More Trainees in Mysuru Due to Assessment Failures
Infosys, a big tech company, has let go of about 800 new trainees because they didn't pass their training tests.
These trainees were given multiple chances and extra help, but didn't meet the requirements.
The company is helping those who lost their jobs by offering free training to learn new skills and find new jobs, or by giving them money and help with travel.
The government checked and said Infosys didn't break any rules because these were trainee positions, not regular jobs.
Infosys terminated 195 more trainees at its Mysuru campus due to assessment failures.
This brings the total number of dismissed trainees to approximately 800 since February.
Around 250 affected trainees have enrolled in upskilling programs, and 150 have registered for outplacement services.
Infosys is offering free upskilling programs through UpGrad and NIIT to the affected trainees.
The Karnataka Labour Department cleared Infosys of any labor law violations related to the trainee exits.
