Andhra Pradesh Plans ₹6,000 Crore Transmission Network Upgrade

Andhra Pradesh is upgrading its electricity network so people can receive steadier power.

The state is spending about ₹6,000 crore on transmission projects.

It is building substations that help move electricity to homes and businesses.

Five substations in the former Prakasam district should be ready in four to five months.

Officials are also working to produce or buy enough electricity when demand is high.

Renewable energy and batteries may help during the busiest hours.

The state wants to provide 20 lakh rooftop-solar connections through PM Surya Ghar.

Officials also want to move power lines that are blocking planned Smart City work in Ongole.
