Lucknow Municipal Executive Committee Elections Set for August 17
The Lucknow city government is having an election for its Executive Committee, which is like a small group of leaders.
This election was delayed for a while because some people in the BJP, a big political party, weren't agreeing with the Mayor.
But after a politician named Rajnath Singh stepped in, they worked things out.
Now, they're going to choose six new members to replace those who left.
The BJP is expected to win most of the spots, and another party called the Samajwadi Party will get one.
This committee is important because it makes decisions about city projects and money.
Lucknow Municipal Corporation will hold Executive Committee elections on August 17.
The elections were delayed for 72 days due to a dispute between the BJP and the Mayor.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh intervened to resolve the dispute.
Six new members will be elected to replace those who retired on June 1.
The BJP is expected to secure five seats, and the Samajwadi Party one.
