KHRC seeks report on doctors' OP boycott in Kerala

The Kerala State Human Rights Commission (KHRC) has asked the state government for a report on a protest by doctors.

These doctors are boycotting Outpatient services in state-run medical colleges.

The protest is led by the Kerala Government Medical College Teachers’ Association (KGMCTA).

They are protesting because the government has not met their demands for better pay and more jobs.

The KHRC says this protest is causing problems for patients.

The doctors are not boycotting emergency services, though.

The government has two weeks to send a report to the KHRC.
