Amaal Mallik: AI in my mind knows the singer's song
Amaal Mallik is a music composer who makes songs for movies.
He talked to a news agency while promoting his new film 'Awarapan 2'.
In the music world, some composers use computer voices called AI instead of real singers.
Amaal says he always knows exactly which singer is right for a song.
He says the 'AI in my mind' knows which singer's song it is.
He thinks using an AI voice is better than hurting a singer's feelings.
He believes composers should be honest and clear with singers about their choices.
Amaal made the song 'Yeh Awarapan' for the new movie.
The film stars Emraan Hashmi and comes out on August 14, 2026.
Music composer Amaal Mallik said the 'AI in my mind knows which singer's song it is' when casting playback singers.
He discussed the industry practice of composers replacing scratch singers with AI during 'Awarapan 2' promotions in Mumbai's BKC area.
Mallik said it is better to use an AI voice than to hurt anyone, since it saves composers from convincing senior singers their voice wasn't picked.
He composed the song 'Yeh Awarapan' for the upcoming Emraan Hashmi-starrer 'Awarapan 2'.
'Awarapan 2', a sequel in which Hashmi reprises his role as Shivam Pandit, releases on August 14, 2026.

AI Over Real Singers
Using an AI voice is better than hurting anyone, and it saves composers from the hassle of convincing a senior singer that their voice wasn't picked by producers.
Direct Singer Casting
Composers should have the courage to say clearly that a voice won't work, should not call a senior singer until sure, and should tell the producer their vision before a singer sings.
