Indus Towers F&O contracts adjusted for ₹14 interim dividend

Indus Towers F&O contracts adjusted for ₹14 interim dividend

Indus Towers is a company whose shares people can buy and sell.

The company decided to give its shareholders a special payment called a dividend of ₹14 for every share they own.

When a company gives a dividend, the share price usually drops by that amount.

Because of this, special contracts tied to the stock, called futures and options, also need to be adjusted.

The adjustment happens on the record date, which is August 10.

For futures contracts, the price set on August 7 will be reduced by ₹14.

For example, a futures price of ₹387 will become ₹373.

For options, all the strike prices will also be reduced by ₹14.

Traders do not need to change their overall view on the stock because of these adjustments.

They only need to note the new lower prices on the contracts they hold.
