High Court Halts Recognition of New Andhra Kabaddi Committee
The Andhra Pradesh High Court has put a temporary stop to a change in the leadership of the Andhra Kabaddi Association.
The current leader, Venkata Reddy, said a new group tried to take over without permission.
The court has also paused any decisions the national kabaddi group made about this new group for a couple of months.
Reddy is also worried about how players were picked and a new team name being used, as he believes it goes against rules and court orders.
Andhra Pradesh High Court suspended the recognition of the new Andhra Kabaddi Association (AKA) committee.
The court's order provides relief to the existing AKA leadership.
Current President Venkata Reddy stated that the new committee was formed without their knowledge.
The court suspended the proceedings of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) for eight weeks.
Reddy raised concerns regarding alleged illegal player selections and the formation of a state team under a different name.
