Congress Strengthens OBC Department Leadership
The Congress party has appointed new leaders to its OBC (Other Backward Classes) department.
This includes three Vice Chairpersons, 60 National Coordinators, and six Joint Coordinators.
The new team will work to make sure OBC voices are heard within the party and across the country.
The Congress party wants to do a better job of helping OBC communities with things like education and jobs.
The new leaders come from different parts of India and have different areas of expertise.
This move is part of the party's plan to rebuild its connections with people and to be more competitive in elections.
However, the opposition, including the Telangana OBC Morcha, accuses the Congress government of betraying the Backward Classes by reducing their share in local body reservations and failing to deliver on promises like the Rs 1 lakh crore allocation for OBC welfare.
The Congress government, on the other hand, claims to be transparent and efficient, fast-tracking pending works and planning for future economic growth with the Telangana Rising – 2047 Vision Document.
The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed new leadership for its OBC Department, including three Vice Chairpersons, 60 National Coordinators, and six Joint Coordinators.

The appointments aim to strengthen the party's outreach to marginalised communities ahead of upcoming elections and policy debates.
