Bollywood Films Face Release Delays
Three Bollywood movies had their release plans changed at the last minute.
Jana Nayagan and Parasakthi, both Tamil films, were postponed because they are waiting for approval from the movie rating board.
Another movie, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, was supposed to come back to theaters on January 9, but the makers decided not to because they couldn't get enough movie screens or good show times.
They originally came out in December but didn't do well because another movie, Dhurandhar, was very popular and took up all the screens.
The makers of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 wanted to show it on 500 screens but could only get about 200-250, so they decided not to release it again.
Parasakthi is set to release on January 10, but it is still waiting for certification.
There are only three theaters in Chennai selling tickets for it.
Jana Nayagan and Parasakthi postponed pending CBFC certification.
Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2's re-release cancelled due to insufficient screens.
Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 originally released on December 12 with limited success.
Makers of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 demanded 500 screens but only secured 200-250.
Parasakthi scheduled to release on January 10, awaiting CBFC certification.
