GMADA issues fresh enhancement demand notices in Mohali
The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) has started sending new notices to people who own plots in sectors 76 to 80.
The Punjab government decided to lower the extra charges that people had to pay for their plots.
Now, they have to pay Rs 2,216 for each square meter of their plot.
This change will help nearly 30,000 people who own plots.
Before this, many people were unhappy with the old charges and had been protesting for a long time.
The new notices replace all the old ones, and the government hopes this will solve a big problem in Mohali.
GMADA has issued new demand notices to residential plot holders in sectors 76 to 80.
