Google's AI Smart Glasses Set for 2026 Launch

Google is planning to launch AI smart glasses in 2026.

These glasses will come in two types: one for screen-free assistance with speakers, microphones, and cameras, and another with an in-lens display for private information access.

Google has partnered with companies like Samsung, Android, Xreal, and Warby Parker to develop these glasses.

Experts who tested the prototype found it smoother and better than Meta's current smart glasses.

In India, these glasses are seen as a novelty due to their high price and limited practicality for non-tech jobs.

Meta's smart glasses are already in the Indian market, priced between Rs 29,000 and Rs 1,89,999, and can support UPI payments.

Apple is also rumored to release its own AI smart glasses, the Apple Glass, in 2026.

Google has improved privacy features in its new smart glasses, addressing issues from its previous Google Glass model.
