Reliance Launches Bombay Creamery, Enters India’s Ice-Cream Market

Reliance Consumer Products has started selling ice cream in India under the name Bombay Creamery.

The company says the ice cream is made with real dairy cream.

Customers can buy it in cones, cups, tubs, bars and sticks.

Prices start at Rs 10, so the brand is aimed at affordable everyday purchases.

The products are first being sold in western India.

Reliance plans to make them available across the country soon.

Bombay Creamery will compete with established brands such as Amul and Kwality Wall’s.

Analysts and market observers expect the new competition could increase price pressure in the industry.
