In a city in India called Puri, there is a very old and special holy place called Govardhan Peeth.

It is one of four important monasteries connected to a great teacher from long ago named Adi Shankaracharya.

The leaders of the state of Odisha decided to take care of this holy place so it stays safe and beautiful.

The Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, held a meeting where everyone talked about how to help.

They want to fix old paperwork problems about the land the monastery owns.

They also want a respected religious leader who lives there, called the Jagadguru, to be protected and safe.

The group plans to clean up the beach near the city where a special evening prayer called the Aarti is held.

The Chief Minister even talked about making the whole beach a 'spiritual shoreline.'

That means visitors who come to pray can also enjoy the beach in a peaceful way.

The government hopes Puri becomes known as an important place of faith and culture for all of India.
