ISRO's PSLV-C62 Launch on January 12
ISRO is starting the year 2026 with a big rocket launch called PSLV-C62 on January 12.
This launch will carry a special satellite called EOS-N1, which was made for important purposes by the DRDO.
The rocket will also carry many other small satellites, including one called MOI-1 made by startups in Hyderabad, and another called Kestrel Initial Demonstrator from a Spanish startup.
People can watch the launch from a special viewing area in Sriharikota by registering online.
This launch is important because it shows that India is doing great things in space and working with other countries and companies to explore and use space technology.
ISRO's PSLV-C62 mission is scheduled for January 12, 2026, at 10:17 AM IST from Sriharikota.
The primary payload is the EOS-N1, an imaging satellite built by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
The mission includes 18 co-passenger satellites, including MOI-1 from Hyderabad startups and Kestrel Initial Demonstrator from a Spanish startup.
Public viewing of the launch is available at the Launch View Gallery in Sriharikota, with online registration required.
This launch marks the beginning of ISRO's 2026 missions and the return of the PSLV to service after the failure of the PSLV-C61 mission in late 2025.
