Gujarat High Court Rules Against Yusuf Pathan in Land Dispute
Yusuf Pathan, a famous cricketer, was told he couldn't use a piece of land.
Even though the government said no, he started using it anyway.
A court has now said that he broke the rules.
The court said that because he is famous, he needs to follow the law.
The court did not fine him, because the city took too long to do anything about the situation.
The court dismissed the petition.
They are making him return the land.
The Gujarat High Court declared Yusuf Pathan an encroacher on government land.
The case involves a 978-square-meter plot of land in Vadodara.
Pathan had sought to rent the land in 2012, but the government rejected the proposal.
Despite the rejection, Pathan occupied the land, leading to a notice from the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC).
The court dismissed Pathan’s petition and ordered the VMC to take action.
